This section is our opinion, and its basis is the reported record above. In our view the pattern is roadmap theatre: a rolling promise that resets each year. We tag staged demo because two demonstrations were reported by major outlets to be something other than what they appeared on stage (a person in a bodysuit in 2021; remotely operated units in 2024, per Bloomberg and the Los Angeles Times), and hardware not ready because Tesla's own most recent public description, per its earnings call as reported by Reuters and Electrek, is a learning programme rather than a product in material use. We make no claim about whether Optimus will ship, and nothing here alleges any statement by Tesla was untrue.
